Dr. Vogt is the staff psychologist and Senior Living Inquiries Facilitator at the Kiloby Center in Rancho Mirage, California and co-founded the Kiloby Family Services Program. Through her years of experience and study as a psychologist and family business advisor, she has sought out the best evidence-based practices to become a master clinician, facilitator and consultant.
Her curiosity about human behavior led first to a degree in Economics from Benedictine University near Chicago, Illinois. After becoming a mother, she returned to school to study Clinical Psychology and started practicing as a clinical psychologist in 1996 in Chicago. Along with a private practice treating depression, anxiety and relationship challenges, she also worked in the corporate environment. She served as an external consultant for Lucent Technologies helping start-up teams improve their communicatation and power dynamics so they could work together to create new products. The University of Illinois Family Business council asked her to revamp their executive Forum communication processes and she conducted leadership trainings and retreats for many years. This led to working directly with family-owned businesses and developing training and experiential processes to smooth the succession process.
Her own search for answers to the human dilemma of suffering and conflict has led her to many practical spiritual teachers including Byron Katie and Scott Kiloby as well as Bowen systems theory. These studies and experiences have led to a lifelong search for solutions in the fields of leadership, psychological well-being and the thriving of families. The Inquiry process, particular effective in solving the relational issues in families with addiction has been an exciting development in the effectiveness of addressing long-standing patterns.
Dr. Vogt maintains a private practice location in Rancho Mirage, California, as well as a robust online practice.
